Most websites have the need to provide contact information for visitors.
In the process of doing so 1 or more email address may be included on various web pages. These email address are easily harvested by spambots who in turn send you spam, and send email out using your email address. You in turn may received hundreds or thousands of email bounce messages, or worse - have your email address reported as a spammer and get blocked.
2 ways to avoid this are:
Use a graphic on your page showing the contact information
Use an email riddler or encoder to encrypt your sensitive information
There are many sites which you can perform on-line encryption of your email address, copy, and paste this onto your web pages instead.
Try a Google Search for the term:
Hide email HTML
And Get Less SPAM!
